My mom got married when I was 7, and my then-stepdad went through the trouble of actually adopting me & my two siblings (my sister having cerebral palsy.) I have always loved & respected my dad so much, for actually making the effort to show us that he wanted us to be HIS kids, when he didn’t have to.

I can’t wait to adopt when I’m ready for kids.
